Lance's bad moments outnumbered his good in the 49ers' 19-10 loss to the Bears on Sunday. The second-year QB was criticised despite showing promise in his third career start.
Lance was quick to list all the mistakes on his own accord following the defeat.
"We made too many mistakes. Defense kept us in it," Lance remarked. "I missed Tyler Kroft in the end zone when he was wide open.
Too many mistakes: fumble, sack, missing Deebo Samuel and Jauan Jennings on third down."
Chicago's gloomy conditions didn't help the 22-year-old, who completed 13 of 28 passes for 164 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception. Lance's biggest mistake happened during
the game's biggest moment. Lance threw for Jennings near midfield with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Bears safety Eddie Jackson picked off the play near midfield.
The Bears scored on their next possession, but the three-point margin was enough. Lance only gained 42 yards in two SF possessions. The 49ers turned the ball over on three fourth-quarter
drives with Lance's interception and two turnovers on downs.Lance threw well and ran for 54 yards on 13 attempts. A 49ers club that reached the NFC Championship Game
last year shouldn't lose to a 6-11 Bears team. Lance admitted his mistakes, but he remained optimistic.
Lance responded, "I have lots to tidy up." "Man, I'm excited. I'm ready to go next week.
