Browns fall 21-20 to Eagles in second preseason game

On Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium, the Browns' second preseason game resulted in a 21-20 loss to the Eagles.

Both sides started their bench players and scored early in the first quarter. After falling behind early, the Browns rallied behind two second-quarter

field goals from Cade York (one from 50 yards) and a John Kelly touchdown run to take the lead in the third.

However, the Eagles scored the game-winning touchdown on a 55-yard long pass and never looked back.

Josh Dobbs was the game's MVP. He was exciting to watch as he completed 14 of 20 passes for 141 yards and ran four times for 47 yards and a touchdown.

After gaining 36 yards on the ground, he scored after eluding a defender (who tore the shirt under his jersey) and racing away down the left sideline.

as he successfully lofted the ball over the heads of defenders and into tight windows. In two preseason games, he has completed 24 of 33 passes for 249 yards

Dobbs accumulated 188 yards of offence in the first 2.5 quarters of the game. With Dobbs at quarterback, the Browns were able to convert on three of six third-down opportunities.

Dobbs used his legs to improvise plays and took excellent care of the ball for the second game in a row.

The game was decided when, on their final drive, which began five seconds after the two-minute warning, the Browns went three and out.

Josh Rosen led the offence over the final 15 minutes, but the Browns were unable to score. Rosen completed 7/20 passes for 88 yards.
